School Choice Ruling Could Have Effect On High School Sports

LITTLE ROCK – School districts will definitely have more questions than answers this week as a judge’s ruling rendered Arkansas’ school choice initiative unconstitutional. One area that the ruling may have a profound impact on is the area of high school sports. With some athletes having to return to another school district, enrollment numbers could suffer leading to reclassification of high school sports and other consequences.
