OMAHA, NE – Central Arkansas radio listeners will get full coverage of the Arkansas Razorbacks’ journey through the College World Series this weekend in a move unprecedented in station history. NCAA officials granted official clearance Tuesday morning for KEWI and the Arkansas Sportswatch Radio Network to broadcast live from “Radio Row” at TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha beginning Saturday and continuing through the Razorbacks’ final game at the tournament.
“Since our purchase of the station in November, we have made a commitment to covering the local and state sports that matter most to our listeners.” said station owner Grant Merrill. “As we all know, there is nothing bigger in this state than the Razorbacks, and we are proud to follow them to the College World Series. I am grateful to have continued a longstanding positive relationship with the University of Arkansas and the NCAA that has allowed us to make this move. ”
Coverage from Omaha anchored by Merrill, sportscaster Gary Campbell, and State Senator Jeremy Hutchinson will begin on KEWI and ten other Arkansas stations beginning at 2:35 PM on Saturday afternoon and will last until the first pitch between the Hogs and Kent State. A live call-in postgame show will follow the games as well. Each program will be approximately ninety minutes long.
All broadcasts will be streamed online at Saline247.Com.
