Campaign season is upon us. The national conventions of the two major political parties of the United States of America are at hand. The airwaves are heavy with nonstop rantings from political experts and hacks of every stripe and ilk.

I wonder if there will be a huge upsurge in the sale of medications for stress-related illnesses over the coming months. Considering how much of America is already on meds for anxiety and migraines, we really didn’t need more stress.

Yet here it is.

I guess we are only reaping the harvest of what we have allowed to thrive in our once-proud nation.

I remember when patriotism was taught in school. Pretty much everyone loved their country. It was expected, and considered an important part of our daily lives that we loved the USA. We pledged allegiance to our flag daily and everyone participated. Everyone.

Now, the book “1984″ by George Orwell, that we had as assigned reading at Sylvan Hills High School, has practically come to exist in reality rather than on a library shelf, and as tyranny looms larger and larger over the “Land of the Free” the liars among us have made their way to the forefront of power.

The man who sits in the White House is the Liar in Chief of the United States. There. I’ve said it. He has populated the ranks of his administration with subordinate liars and subservient humanoid robots who spout the party line and spew out the daily talking points that are disseminated by the major television networks, newspapers, and internet sites.

I wonder if some of them even realize how much of what they say is a lie? Or do they care?

The Democrat Party has been so overtaken by the Democratic Socialists of America (good grief, “Bing it” – this is verifiable on numerous websites) and by Marxist and Communist members that only people who are not paying attention could still be active participants in the Democrat Party and think it is still just the party of “good ol’ boys” that their Dad or Grandpa loved.

The lies just keep coming, day and night, and the media just keeps parroting every ridiculous thing that the lying Left says.

I listened to a clip today of Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Chairwoman of the DNC, being interviewed by Wolf Blitzer about Paul Ryan’s Medicare plan. She repeatedly either lied or kept making the same mistake about the specifics of what his plan entailed, and had to be corrected more than once by the interviewer, and she showed little concern about her inaccuracies.

Does she know she is lying? Repeatedly? If not, then is she just that stupid? Another good question is how this woman got to be the head of any organization.

Vice President Joe Biden told an audience in Virginia that the Republicans “are going to put you all back in chains.”

Really, Joe? You’re serious?

When just words alone aren’t enough, they add video to the mix. How many days after Paul Ryan was announced as Mitt Romney’s Vice Presidential running mate did the Paul Ryan look-alike video show back up, pushing Granny off the cliff? Good grief (again!) Which guy robbed Medicare of over 700 Billion dollars – Oh, yeah, – it was Obama.

Under Obamacare Granny may not live long enough to have to worry about being pushed off a cliff. The death panels may take Granny out of the picture first.

But do the Liberals ever admit that they are the ones snatching healthcare away from senior citizens? Oh, no. Their good friends at AARP have made a veritable fortune off of Obamacare, too. Don’t be misinformed on that point.

Today I saw posts on Facebook that the liberal blowhard Bob Beckel had actually blurted out the profane word beginning with the letter “f” on live television. How surprising can that be from the party of anger and lies? Seems like profanity often comes with that kind of talk.

Oh, to return to the innocence of my childhood days when “Truth, Freedom and the American Way” were what Superman upheld on tv every Saturday, and what every red-blooded American was expected to love and support.

Sadly, all three of those things are in peril.

Obama hates the traditional “American Way.” He and his administration have little or no respect for Truth. And without those two, how can we have Freedom?
